Infomatics Corp, has recently donated rice and other essential groceries to the poor families in Mangalore. The company’s charitable act is part of its ongoing commitment to give back to the community and help those in need.

Mangalore, a coastal city in the Indian State of Karnataka, has many families struggling to make ends meet. The COVID-19 pandemic has further worsened the situation, with many people losing their jobs and struggling to feed their families.

To help alleviate this problem, Infomatics Corp decided to donate rice and other essential groceries. The company worked with the local NGO - Safa Charitable Trust to identify the families in greatest need and distribute the donations.

The donation drive was a great success with Infomatics Corp providing essential groceries to several families in Mangalore. The company’s employees volunteered their time to help with the distribution, ensuring the donations reached the right people.

Infomatics is proud to join the Best-in-Class 8(a) STARS III governmentwide aquisition contract (GWAC) as part of its second cohort. By acquiring this contract through Vulcan-Hascon JV, LLC, Infomatics can serve federal agenies alongside a distinguished pool of small, disadvantaged businesses.

GSA's 8(s) STARS III is a preferred contract vehicle, as  shown through its recent "Best-in-Class designation by the Office of Managemet and Budget. This designation is only given to multi-agency contracts and vehicles that meet five key criterea:

"The 8(a) STARS GWAC program represents an inclusive opportunity for small, disadvantaged firms to compete within the federal marketplace and gain valuable experience in navigating agency requirements" said GSA Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization Associate Administrator, Exodie C. Roe, III. "More than $18 billion has been awarded through GSA's 8(a) GWACs, and many successful firms have graduated from the SBA's 8(a) Program to compete on a larger scale. GSA joins SBA in looking forward to seeing this next-generation contract provide excellent opportunities for small, disadvantaged businesses."

Infomatics Corp is proud to announce it's SWaM Certification has been renewed by the Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity until 2025.

As a SWaM business, Infomatics Corp reaffirms its diverse roots and focus on providing technology services to government clients. The certification qualifies Infomatics under the "small" and "minority-owned" categories.

You can find Infomatics Corp in the SWaM Vendor Directory, which is used by Virginia procurement officials to find SWaM certified vendors.

The SWaM program began in 2006, when Governor Timothy Kaine signed Executive Order No. 33, which focused on improving opportunities for small, women- and minority-owned businesses.

He set forth a benchmark of 40% SWaM purchases for Virginia and established a Small Business Set-Aside Program, among other initiatives for state agencies to enhance SWaM participation in procurement activities.

The SWaM program was updated in 2014 when Governor Terence McAuliffe signed Executive Order No. 20, replacing Executive Order No. 33. This new order expanded upon the efforts laid out in the original initiative.

Governor McAuliffe set a new target goal of 42% of discretionary expenditures, created the micro business designation and expanded the Set-Aside Program.
